These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between The Grand Hotel, Nainital (“Hotel”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and any guest, visitor, or user (“Guest”, “you”, “your”) accessing our website, making a reservation, or staying at the Hotel.

By accessing our website, making a booking, or staying at the Hotel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

  • The Grand Hotel, Nainital is a privately owned heritage hotel located on the edge of Naini Lake, Uttarakhand, India.
  • All bookings, stays, services, and use of facilities are subject to these Terms, applicable laws of India, and local regulations.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Updated Terms will be effective upon publication on the website.

2. RESERVATIONS & BOOKINGS

2.1 Booking Confirmation

  • A reservation is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full or partial advance payment, as specified at the time of booking.
  • Confirmation details will be shared via email or other electronic means.

2.2 Accuracy of Information

  • Guests are responsible for providing accurate personal and booking information.
  • The Hotel shall not be liable for issues arising from incorrect details provided by the Guest.

2.3 Room Allocation

  • Room numbers, views, and specific locations are allocated at the discretion of the Hotel and are subject to availability.
  • Images shown on the website or OTAs are indicative and may vary due to the heritage nature of the property.

3. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

  • Standard Check-In Time: 12 PM 
  • Standard Check-Out Time: 10 AM 

Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may attract additional charges.

4. IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of check-in.
  • Foreign nationals are required to present a passport and valid visa as per Indian law.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to deny check-in in the absence of valid identification.

5. PAYMENT TERMS

  • All tariffs are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as specified at the time of booking.
  • Applicable government taxes are charged as per prevailing laws and may change without prior notice.
  • The Hotel accepts cash, credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and other approved digital payment methods.

6. CANCELLATION & MODIFICATION

  • Cancellation and modification terms are communicated at the time of booking and may vary based on season, rate plan, and booking source.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within a reasonable period to the original mode of payment, subject to banking timelines.
  • The Hotel shall not be responsible for delays caused by banks or payment gateways.

7. NO-SHOW POLICY

  • Failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior intimation will be treated as a no-show, and applicable charges may be levied.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to release the room after the first night in case of no-show.

8. CHILD & EXTRA PERSON POLICY

  • Child and extra person policies are defined at the time of booking.
  • Extra beds are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
  • For safety and comfort reasons, the Hotel reserves the right to limit room occupancy.

9. HOTEL CONDUCT & GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

Guests are expected to:

  • Respect the heritage nature of the property and its furnishings
  • Maintain decorum and avoid disruptive behavior
  • Comply with all safety instructions and signage

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse service or evict guests without refund in cases of misconduct, illegal activity, damage to property, or violation of Hotel policies.

10. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

  • Guests will be held financially responsible for any damage caused to hotel property, furnishings, fixtures, or amenities during their stay.
  • The Hotel may recover repair or replacement costs as deemed appropriate.

11. SAFETY & SECURITY

  • While the Hotel takes reasonable measures to ensure guest safety, guests are responsible for their personal belongings.
  • The Hotel shall not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal items unless proven to be caused by gross negligence of the Hotel.
  • Use of safes, where available, is strongly recommended.

12. FOOD & BEVERAGE

  • Outside food and beverages may be restricted in certain areas of the Hotel.
  • Alcohol consumption is subject to local laws and hotel discretion.

13. EXPERIENCES & ACTIVITIES

  • Experiences arranged by the Hotel involve third-party providers.
  • Participation in activities is voluntary and at the Guest’s own risk.
  • The Hotel is not liable for injury, loss, delay, or cancellation arising from third-party services, weather conditions, or force majeure events.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

The Hotel shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics, power failures, or acts of God.

15. WEBSITE USE & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

  • All content on the website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the intellectual property of The Grand Hotel, Nainital.
  • Unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited. 

16. PRIVACY POLICY

  • Guest information is collected solely for reservation, operational, and legal purposes.
  • Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws.
  • The Hotel does not sell or share guest data with third parties except where legally required or operationally necessary.

17. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

  • These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Courts located in Uttarakhand shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to remain in full force and effect.
